Working with a client who doesn’t have VoiceLine yet? No problem! They can reply to any VoiceLine you send them with a VoiceLine of their own, even if they don’t have an account! This can of course be done across multiple tools such as Jira, Notion, Google Slides, and so on.

Part 1: How external users can respond to your VoiceLines

  1. An external user can reply to your VoiceLine in a document by clicking directly on the link. This opens a new window where they can press the record button 🎙️ to start recording their message.

They can pause ⏸️ at any time to check the transcript, and edit it by pressing edit.

  1. Once they’re happy with their recorded message, they can click the yellow send button to send it to you. They will need to enter in their email address, so that you’re aware of who they are!

  1. As soon as they’ve hit send you’ll be notified via email with their VoiceLine!

Part 2: How external users can contact you via your VoiceBox

<aside> 💡 You will need a personal profile link from a VoiceLine user, whom you’d like to reach out to.

  1. You can send external users a link to your VoiceBox so that they can contact you over VoiceLine directly to your VoiceBox. Learn how to share the link to your VoiceBox here.
  2. Once the recipient has received your VoiceBox link, they can respond by directly clicking the link. This opens a new window where they can record their own VoiceLine using the record button 🎙️.

They can pause ⏸️ at any time to check the transcript, and edit it by pressing edit. 3. Once they’re done, they can send their VoiceLine to you by pressing the yellow send button. They will need to enter their email address so that you know who contacted you. 4. You’ll be notified by email with their VoiceLine!
